The long version-
As a progressive American, I had always hoped that as we advanced as a country, there would be an increase in the inclusiveness and understanding of our fellow Americans. It seemed as though what started in 2008 with the election of the first President who was not a white male, that we had come a long way toward treating each other with greater empathy and compassion. I truly believed that we could come to legislative compromises that would serve the interests of all Americans, not just the ones on our side of the isle.
I was wrong.
It has become increasingly apparent that republicans have absolutely no interest in compromises. No interest whatsoever in reaching out to those that see things differently than they do. The conservative right and now “alt-right” republicans obstructed President Obama’s policies at every turn. They created an environment where he could get no legislation passed until it was either so diluted or mutated it was destined to disappoint anyone it could possibly have helped.
Now we have a situation where a truly dangerous demagogue has seized power by stoking hate, fear, and misunderstanding amongst us. What’s worse, those republicans in congress who would have us believe they despised this man, have shown their complete lack of integrity and formed up lock-step behind him creating most frightening political environment in modern memory.
This is where WE come in.
I founded this service to do what I can to undermine the power of conservative politicians by financially deflating those who support them.
